SMARTIES X Global is the global competition within the SMARTIES awards programme, organised by the Marketing + Media Alliance (MMA). It recognises marketing innovation that delivers measurable business impact for brands, agencies, media companies and technology providers. The competition covers marketing across channels and industries, with categories addressing purpose, customer engagement, commerce, creativity and emerging technologies. Entries are assessed on the work and results achieved during the stated eligibility period. Category-specific judging weights consider strategy, execution and use of media, business impact, and creative samples. The global competition sits alongside MMA's regional and country programmes, allowing work to receive recognition at different market levels. Its authenticity policy requires real, executed campaigns and allows MMA to request evidence supporting the work and its results.

Turn dates into a submission workflow
Assign an internal owner to every deadline at least six weeks before the official date. For each candidate entry, track category fit, evidence readiness, asset completeness, client approval status, and budget approval. If a milestone carries a fee, use it as a forcing function for the slate review rather than waiting for the final submission date.
